Still Life with Manikin

This week I tried a lighting style I have never used before: small, single point source lighting. Using this kind of lighting creates a bright modern feel—very different from my typical style. Since I was going bright and modern, I thought colorful and quirky would go along with it, so I chose to use colorful wood blocks and wooden artists’ manikins as subjects.

And then I tried out a different subject—thought my dad’s old Minolta would be a contrasting retro subject for this modern style. I have a roll of film I need to finish in that old camera…
